Mr. Nelson has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry from Regional Manager of Multi-National Banks to forming a technology & life science practice for a domestic bank. Today he serves as Senior Vice President of Citizens Business Bank (NASDAQ: CVSB) a $7.3 Billion commercial bank with 50 offices throughout California.

The bank is focused on gathering and nurturing the top 25% of clients in their respective industries, primarily consisting of privately held or family businesses in San Diego’s middle market. The bank has fully staffed international and construction lending practices as well as a specialty in Not For Profit corporations. Real estate lending is a specialty including owner occupied SBA 504 lending, investor properties and construction. Forbes names Citizens Business Bank on of the top 20 business banks in the United States.

Nelson serves on Boards of both for profit and not for profit corporations, and is Chairman of the Budget & Finance Commission for the City of Solana Beach, and CFO of the U.S. Green Chamber of Commerce.
