Mr. Vizcarra retired from professional soccer at the end of 1983 to begin his business career with Pizza Hut where he worked for two years as a restaurant manager and as a Multi-unit Supervisor. He joined McDonald’s Corporation in 1985 where he worked for over 20 years. While at McDonald’s, he held a number of positions in the field from Restaurant Manager to VP of QSC. Mr. Vizcarra also held several Divisional and Corporate positions including: Assistant VP of Franchise Relations, Franchising, Communications, Community Relations and the Ombudsman for the West Division, National Director of Training, National Ombudsman, Corporate VP of Franchise Relations, Strategy and innovation for the U.S. and Corporate VP in the Restaurant Solutions Group which oversees operations around the world. He also worked closely with Sr. Management for 14 years on a variety of areas of the business.

After retiring from McDonald’s Corporation in April of 2006, He founded The Vizcarra Consulting Group (VCG).  As the president of VCG he focuses his time to help CEOs to define their strategies and leadership platform to drive their business. He also helps them create alignment and integration through collaboration to ensure that everyone in the organization knows and understands what they need to do to execute the strategic plan.

Mr. Vizcarra currently serves on the Board of Directors of Ensequence – The Interactive Television Company, The Salvation Army National Advisory Board, Father Joe Villages Board of Directors, and The Mathile Institute Board of Trustees.

Mr. Vizcarra and His wife Anita co-founded with the Barrio Logan College institute the “College Success Program” which provides four year college scholarships and a comprehensive support system to underprivileged students to help them break their cycle of poverty.

When asked about what has influenced his success he says “During my life, I have had the good fortune of meeting a lot of great people that unselfishly helped me, influenced and inspired much of my growth as a business man and as a human being. I have lived a great life and I believe God wants me to put it to a good use. The next chapter of my life is in the process of being written. I believe that God wants me to put all the gifts he has given me for the purpose of making a difference in the life of others, especially those in need”.

He is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Education.
