Rusty Robinson

Senior Business Consultant, Trainer, Coach

Mr. Robinson is a versatile and results-driven leader with over 25 years’ experience in process improvement, leadership development and coaching, team building, organizational assessments, training development, strategic planning, systems alignment and integration, project management, and customer satisfaction. He has led SEI/CMMI, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, and Balanced Scorecard projects to optimize enterprise-wide business processes and results that lead to performance excellence.

Rusty is a certified consultant, trainer, and coach with Future Achievement International in the MERIT Integrated Solutions™ suite of products and services designed to maximize Personal Leadership Effectiveness™. He served as the Vice President of Corporate Operations for two years developing systematic business processes to enhance support for the company’s strategic partners and client networks.

Prior to Future Achievement International, he was employed with SAIC in San Diego, CA for over 10 years as a Senior Business Consultant. He served the last three years as a member of the Program Operations leadership team for a multi-billion dollar program/contract with the United States Navy (SPAWAR) developing the network of the future for shipboard installations. Main responsibilities included the development and implementation of business processes and procedures across the program using the ITILv3 framework and SharePoint collaboration platform. He also used Lean Six Sigma methodology for process improvement efforts. Prior to this position, he was the business process manager on a large software and systems development project, where he led the effort to achieve CMMI Level 5 certification and ISO 9001 certification. Additionally, he held other positions such as a Senior Quality Systems Engineer and curriculum development manager and trainer on various projects.

Mr. Robinson started his career in the US Navy where he retired after 22 years of service. His last seven years were as a Total Quality Leadership Specialist and ‘Train-The-Trainer’ where he taught advanced leadership development and training to over 1,000 key leaders. He was certified by the Secretary of the Navy in 5 TQL courses and was also hand-selected and certified as a Strategic Planning Facilitator. His prior duty assignment and designation was as a Weapons System Supervisor where he managed and led a team of 30+ highly trained operators and technicians on various guided-missile combat ships.

Robinson continues to be involved with the California Council for Excellence (CCE), serving for the past 16 years in various volunteer roles. He is past Chair of the California Team Excellence Awards (CTEA) program and is a senior judge as well as a judge for the International Team Excellence Award program. He is a previous examiner for the California Award for Performance Excellence (CAPE). He is affiliated with the following organizations; Senior ASQ Member, Association of Strategic Planning (ASP), San Diego OD Network, ASTD San Diego Chapter, Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), Christian Business Men’s Connection (CBMC), and Board member of Christian Executive Officer (CEO). He has completed ITILv3 Foundations certification and three Intermediate certifications and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, served on numerous CMMI appraisal teams and ISO Audits. Rusty holds a Gold Mastery Certification in Strategic Management from the Haines Centre for Strategic Management. Mr. Robinson is the President and Founder of Performance 360 established in 2003.
