Sharlie Kaltenbach

Born with a life-threatening disease, Cystic Fibrosis (CF), Sharlie Kaltenbach has fought to live and thrive like no other. She spent several months in the hospital each year until age 33, when she underwent a double lung/heart transplant at Stanford University. Six months after the transplant, Sharlie climbed the Eiffel Tower and returned home to bike 32 miles to support CF. Sharlie has spoken to thousands of people throughout the world both before and after her transplant about the miracle of life. Her story has inspired thousands of people with and without CF to never give up.
